New AllDotNet design

I got a new design from Anthony at Microvisuals
which I think is great looking.

You can see a preview of the design here.

I have a coder working on the design now, it looks fine in IE but has a problem
in Firefox.

Should it have finished tonight and I will be putting it online tomorrow morning.

Alternative Revenue Sources For AllDotNet

I am trying to create some new revenue sources for AllDotNet.com

I posted a tread about this on WebmasterForums.net, you can read it here.

The jist of the thread is that I want to get some other ways to profit from
the visitors on AllDotNet.com

Right now the only thing I have is adsense but that doesn't create a lot of
income, I'm sure I could do something that would generate a lot more revenue.

I have a few ideas but I'm looking for more..the traffic on the site should
be making me a lot more.

If you have any ideas don't be afraid to share them on the thread :)

Counted Revenue from Advertising this Month

Just counted up revenue from selling advertising this month and it totaled
up to just over $1200.

This doesn't count any other income this month - Just from ad space sold and
a bit from adsense.

Its not bad for the first month of really doing this full time but I know I
could be doing a lot better, I also spent a lot of money on
my sites this month so I didn't end up with much profit.

I think a lot of next month will be a lot more profit as I paid for almost
everything I need this month.

Bought a new phone / PDA

I bought a new PDA/phone today.

I was going to just get a small phone but I wanted to be able to access the
net and do some other things so I decided to go with a PDA/phone combo.

Here's a pic of it:

I'm going to give it a try and see what its like..I'm not too sure because
of the size/weight but I'll see what its like.

If I don't like it I can always flog it on eBay ;)

I'm thinking of buying a gold/platinum number for my phone - They are numbers
that are a lot easier to remember than normal but cost more.

I'm crap with remembering things so I think it could be a good idea..My last
number was really easy to remember.

Just have a normal number that I can use for now anyway.

So far I have a vBulletin leased license so its about time to get my ass into gear and get it sorted out

Sites Sold

CollegeClown.com Sold

Just sold one of my other sites today, Http://www.CollegeClown.com

I sold the site for $1500 at the BIN.
I got CollegeClown around September last year but never started working on it.
I just started paying 3 people to add a lot of video clips to the site and they will continue doing this until they have uploaded all clips.

I know this site could be a real money maker and I think it might even be now after adding so many clips (Around 500 in total) so the best of luck to the new owner!

SoapForum.co.uk still for sale

I haven’t heard back from ChrisUK at SitePointForums.com, the winner of Http://www.SoapForum.co.uk after he bought the site at $2500.
This really set back a lot of things I had planned and its because of this I had to sell CollegeClown.

Hopefully Chris will get back to me..he has been a member on SitePoint since 2002 so I don’t think he has just done a runner.

If anyone else is interested in making an offer for the site let me know!

My first blog post! What this is all about..

This isn't just my first blog on this site, but my first blog ever :)

I will post posting updates on my sites and internet life on my blog.
I run a few websites for a living and I am slowly but surely building up a profitable network.

I decided to change from working
I will be detailing my progress with my network of sites and how its going with trying to live off my sites.

My current sites are:

www.DeuceAce.com - DeuceAce is my latest site that I started from scratch. It is growing very quickly and already providing a good income. I am aiming to create a poker community with a mature atmosphere.

www.AllDotNet.com - AllDotNet is currently a general directory with over 12000 sites listed. I will be working on changing AllDotNet to a general portal with a number of site sections, the next will be an entertainment section.

www.WebmasterForums.NET - WebmasterForums.NET is...you guessed it, a forum for webmasters. I am trying to diversify the site to include more, for example a directory for webmasters, free scripts and tools and a lot of unique tutorials and interviews with well known webmasters.

I have a lot of other smaller sites but I will be selling those off and using the money to invest in and improve the 3 above.
